Black edition

Here at Secure House we are big fans of luxurious, bespoke ironmongery to add the perfect finishing touch to the hundreds of different security doors we design and install.

Design is, of course, totally subjective which is why we’ve always offered our clients a wide range of ironmongery and door furniture to enable them to add their own personal stamp to their front door. Having said that, black remains the most popular colour for front doors and it’s now an option when it comes to ironmongery.

Teaming up with Germany’s Karcher Design, leaders in contemporary door and window hardware, we’re now able to offer their full ‘black edition’ range of ironmongery and accessories. Each product is manufactured to the very highest German quality standard, just like our doors that are also tested in Germany to the highest industry standards. So, that’s all your favourite designs and styles but now available in black as well!

The finish of all of these products is exceptional. The finish is applied electrostatically as a power coating, the procedure doesn’t use any solvents thus creating an eco-friendly product. All of the door handles are scratch-proof and highly resistant to corrosion, and their surface feels luxuriously warm and smooth to touch. Some have a textured finish too for a unique touch sensation!

We are also very proud to be able to offer ‘black edition’ handles that feature fingerprint recognition systems for smart security doors that use products from ekey biometric systems GmbH.

Here are a few examples to give you an idea of just what’s available with the ‘black edition’ range – how good do they all look?!

Fingerprint recognition for smart security doors from Secure House

Fingerprint recognition for smart security doors

Fingerprint recognition is one of the growing home security technologies and we’re delighted to say that our high security doors are compatible with Crestron products, the world’s leading provider of customer home automation and control technology.

Crestron’s fingerprint recognition systems for smart security doors are offered through its integrated partnership with ekey biometric systems GmbH and enable us to provide our clients with these world-class biometric technologies to suit their own specific requirements.

What is fingerprint recognition?

Fingerprint recognition is an automated process that enables the identification and verification of individuals based on their unique fingerprint. Fingerprint access solutions and systems consist of a scanner with a light sensitive microchip. When a person places their finger on the scanner it will produce a digital image. Using high-tech, pattern matching software, the image is analysed and turned into a code that is either recognised or not. If the code is recognised, entry is permitted, if not, entry is denied.

Creating smart security doors for a smart house

All of our smart security doors with fingerprint recognition access solutions are smart house compatible and will enable you to further enhance any other smart technology used within your home.

Crestron’s fingerprint recognition access solutions include a discreet wall-mounted finger scanner which links with our various multi-point locking and other control systems. One-touch entry is facilitated and security enhanced since traditional pin-codes, keys or access cards are not required.

Fingerprint recognition is not only reliable and highly secure, it’s also extremely convenient and easy to use. You won’t need to worry about losing or misplacing your keys or ever being locked out of your house. Your finger is your key to your home! And even if you cut or injure your finger, the intelligent software utilised will detect this and adapt accordingly.

The Secure House of the future

Easy to install and integrate with any of our high security doors, these fingerprint recognition access systems allow anyone to create their secure house of the future. Track who is coming into your home and link to other control systems such as CCTV or facial recognition to add another layer of security and peace of mind for you and your family.

Security doors with facial recognition systems from Secure House

Unlock your front door…with your face!

Smart home security is undoubtedly a multi-million pound business. From surveillance cameras and video doorbells, to steel security doors and automated secure window shutters, there is a wide variety of products on the market all designed to deter intruders and prevent them from gaining access to our property.

There are many different ways we can protect our homes and choosing a security door is still one of the most effective. Fitting the door with a high quality, multi-point locking system is also imperative. But how about combining all of that and installing a fully motorised security door with facial recognition?

Facial recognition is one of the fastest growing smart home security products with more and more homeowners considering its application.

“As pioneers of facial recognition, we recently displayed a working example of a fully motorised security door with facial recognition at IFSEC 2019,” comments Edmundas Zaunieravicius, managing director of Secure House. “It generated a huge amount of interest amongst everyone who visited our stand.”

How does a facial recognition system work?

Often referred to as biometric technology, facial recognition systems work by taking an image of a face and ‘predicting’ whether the face matches another face stored within the system itself. The technology compares the data and accurately provide potential matches irrespective of facial expression.

Facial recognition systems rely on a smart camera, usually installed within the security door itself, that will associate an individual face with an individual identity. In order to implement successful facial recognition, you must first programme the system by informing it which face belongs to which name. Anyone you want to authorise to enter your home – family, friends or colleagues – must have a profile in the system before they can use the system.

Many systems also include an alarm that will notify you if someone walks up to your home and tries to gain entry, day or night.

Benefits of implementing a facial recognition system

Implementing a security door with a facial recognition system brings with it numerous benefits.

  • No keys are required. Just ask yourself how many times you’ve lost, misplaced or forgotten your door key and the advantage of not needing them is immediately clear!
  • High degree of accuracy. The system will accurately determine whether the person trying to enter the property matches the database of people pre-authorised to enter. If not, an alarm will sound alerting people to the potential intruder.
  • Time saving automation. The inclusion of multiple faces is an option with most systems. This facilitates easy access for all family members as required. And there’s no need to answer the doorbell!

Facial recognition systems are highly affordable and can be combined with a huge range of different styles, sizes and models of security door. If you’re looking for a really smart technology that will help you to protect loved ones and offer unrivalled peace of mind, investing in a motorised security door with a facial recognition system is an absolute must.
