House Security Shutters

Whole house security shutter project

All round protection for your home

Home security is big business and there are lots of different options and packages out there designed to deliver property protection. When it comes to all round protection for our clients, alongside the installation of high security doors and windows throughout, we also recommend adding security shutters for a wide variety of reasons.

Take this project we completed last summer. This new build home features state-of-the-art security doors and windows and our lightweight, but highly secure, automated security shutters.

After consultation with the homeowner, we set the automated security shutters to operate at certain times of the day to make sure the property is protected even when no-one’s home. So, in the summer, for example, you could set the shutters seasonally to close at around 11pm when it’s dark and open again at 5am at dawn. In the winter, they can be closed at 5pm and re-open the following morning at 8am. This seasonal adjustment has multiple benefits and the potential to save money on energy bills and insurance premiums.

You can also override the timer and open and close the shutters whenever you wish. It might be a very hot summer’s day and you wish to close the shutters in the south-facing rooms of the house to keep it cool. Likewise, in winter, shutters can be closed to retain heat and make sure your home is kept super cosy despite the weather.

Here at Secure House, we have an extensive range of security shutters to suit all budgets and projects. And, since security shutters are your first line of defence against intruders, it makes sense to include them in any refurbishment or new build project.
