What is a flush door?
A flush door embraces a very straightforward style of door design. They typically have a plain facing panel either side of the door that allows a completely flush fit to the door frame. Flush doors are mainly used in the interior of a home and provide a very functional option especially, where there isn’t much available space. As such, they make very handy ‘space saver’ doors which makes them an ideal choice in smaller properties and apartments as well as smaller rooms in a house like the bathroom.

There are also three different types of construction that are commonly used in flush doors. They can be hollow, solid or feature a stave core. Solid flush doors are an excellent alternative for exterior doors as they offer a good deal of strength as well as a good level of insulation. Used in an interior setting, they can work as a great separating door between two rooms or a hallway.
The fact that a flush door will deliver a flush surface facilitates the opportunity for it to be used to create an understairs cupboard or WC as it can also be mounted on tracks as well as traditionally hinged. Another space saving feature of flush doors!
